As a lifelong supporter and Bath resident, Bath Rugby has always represented more than just a club to me - it’s a cornerstone of local identity and pride. This self-initiated project was a natural opportunity to showcase my skills and passion for branding within a context that means a great deal to me. Although my work was not chosen, I approached the project with the same level of care, strategic thinking, and creative rigour that I would apply to a professional brief, and I still feel passionately about the outcome.
A key part of the project was a desire to build on the club’s rich history and loyal local fan base. Bath Rugby has deep roots in the community, and I wanted to reflect that legacy while positioning the club for the future. My goal was to create a brand experience that honours tradition while appealing to a broader, modern audience.
To achieve this, I analysed the club’s existing social content and developed a refreshed social and web strategy. The focus was on reimagining Bath Rugby as a one-stop entertainment hub - a place where rugby intersects with lifestyle, culture, and community. This approach aims to elevate the club’s presence both online and offline, creating deeper engagement with fans and opening the door to new audiences.
