Grant Museum of Zoology

brand identity \ wayfinding

A new brand identity has been developed for the museum, distinctive yet still connected to its parent university. This allows the museum to stand alone while retaining institutional ties. The dynamic logo system features interchangeable patterns representing the museum’s core departments, celebrating the diversity of its collections.

Wayfinding has been designed with sustainability at its heart, using reverse graffiti - a method that cleans patterns into pavement rather than applying materials. This leaves no permanent trace, fades naturally, and aligns with the museum’s eco-conscious values.

To relaunch the museum and reintroduce it to the public, a set of advertising assets has been created. These include an animated asset that brings the brand to life through a light projection installation that casts the new identity onto the museum’s exterior, creating a striking and temporary landmark.
